Moscow struck 55 defense-industrial facilities and around ten military airfields in June, the chief of the General Staff has said<\/strong><\/p>\n The Russian military’s campaign against Ukraine’s defense industry has significantly weakened Kiev’s ability to produce long-range weapons, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov has said.<\/p>\n He made the remarks on Friday during a high-level meeting at a forward command post of the joint forces involved in the Ukraine conflict. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, and other senior military and civilian officials attended the meeting.<\/p>\n In June alone, Russian forces struck 55 Ukrainian defense-industrial facilities, including a plant producing FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and multiple enterprises assembling long-range drones, Gerasimov said. Around ten military airfields were also targeted.<\/p>\n According to the general, the campaign has substantially degraded Ukraine\u2019s ability to manufacture long-range strike weapons and carry out attacks deep inside Russian territory.<\/p>\n
