{"id":6187,"date":"2026-05-25T19:10:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T19:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.youtubexyoutube.com\/?p=6187"},"modified":"2026-05-29T13:48:47","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T13:48:47","slug":"russias-human-rights-commissioner-mourns-21-students-killed-by-ukrainian-strike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.youtubexyoutube.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/25\/russias-human-rights-commissioner-mourns-21-students-killed-by-ukrainian-strike\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia\u2019s human rights commissioner mourns 21 students killed by Ukrainian strike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ukraine struck the Starobelsk Professional College in the Lugansk People\u2019s Republic early on Friday with three waves of drone attacks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Russia\u2019s newly appointed human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova, has honored the 21 students killed in a recent Ukrainian drone strike on a college dormitory, sharing photos of the victims \u2013 some just 18 years old \u2013 on Telegram.<\/p>\n<p>According to Russian authorities, another 60 people were injured when three waves of Ukrainian kamikaze drones struck the main academic building and dormitory of the Starobelsk Professional College in the Lugansk People\u2019s Republic overnight between Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian military responded to what President Vladimir Putin called a deliberate <em>\u201cterrorist act\u201d<\/em> with a <em>\u201cmassive strike\u201d<\/em> on Ukrainian military targets early on Sunday, using the intermediate-range hypersonic Oreshnik system, Iskander ballistic missiles, Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, along with other weapons.<\/p>\n<p>In a Telegram post on Sunday, Lantratova, who traveled to Starobelsk following the attack, accused Ukrainian forces of carrying out a <em>\u201ctargeted strike that killed 21 children.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<figure>\n        <img src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.youtubexyoutube.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/6a14aeab85f54010293c878e.png\"><figcaption>\n                                    Telegram<\/p>\n<p>                <span class=\"copyright\"><br \/>\n                                                                               <\/span><br \/>\n            <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNo words can ease this pain. It is impossible to imagine the grief of parents who have lost the most precious thing \u2013 their child,\u201d<\/em> she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Lantratova said Ukrainian forces launched follow-up strikes targeting first responders after the initial attack.
