A six-hour overnight drone attack on Krasnodar hit residential buildings across multiple neighborhoods, local authorities have reported<\/strong><\/p>\n One person was killed and several residential buildings were hit overnight in a Ukrainian drone attack on the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, according to regional authorities. Debris from drones intercepted by air defenses fell across several districts of the city.<\/p>\n Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said on Wednesday that the strike formed part of a broader overnight wave of drone attacks targeting southern Russia.<\/p>\n \u201cOne person died as a result of a terrorist drone attack in Krasnodar,\u201d<\/em> Kondratyev wrote on social media.<\/p>\n The most serious damage occurred when a drone struck a high-rise residential building in the western part of the city, sparking a fire in an apartment. Emergency crews evacuated residents from the building while firefighters extinguished the blaze, regional officials said.<\/p>\n Kondratyev said debris from downed drones damaged three multi-story residential buildings in the regional capital. In one building, a fire broke out in an apartment but was quickly put out by firefighters. Another drone reportedly hit the wall of a residential block and crashed without igniting, while fragments from a third were later found on the balcony of another apartment building.<\/p>\n
