Public debate over the negotiations\u2019 specifics could be detrimental to a positive outcome, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said<\/strong><\/p>\n Public discussion of the details of Ukraine peace negotiations could harm the process, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday when asked what compromises Russia might be prepared to offer.<\/p>\n Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told NBC News last week that Moscow is ready to \u201cshow some flexibility\u201d<\/em> on Ukraine after the recent Alaska summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. US Vice President J.D. Vance later told the same program that Trump\u2019s \u201cenergetic diplomacy\u201d<\/em> had convinced Moscow to offer \u201csignificant concessions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Peskov reiterated that the Putin-Trump talks marked a diplomatic breakthrough but stressed that Moscow intends to keep details of the negotiations confidential.<\/p>\n
