{"id":1900,"date":"2025-08-19T12:24:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T12:24:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.youtubexyoutube.com\/?p=1900"},"modified":"2025-08-22T13:54:24","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T13:54:24","slug":"russia-hands-over-remains-of-1000-troops-to-ukraine-putin-aide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.youtubexyoutube.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/19\/russia-hands-over-remains-of-1000-troops-to-ukraine-putin-aide\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia hands over remains of 1,000 troops to Ukraine \u2013 Putin aide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Moscow has received the bodies of 19 of its fallen soldiers from Kiev in return, Vladimir Medinsky has said<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moscow has returned the bodies of another 1,000 fallen Ukrainian soldiers, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky has said.<\/p>\n<p>Russia has received the remains of 19 of its soldiers from Ukraine in return, Medinsky, Moscow\u2019s top negotiator during the talks with Kiev in T\u00fcrkiye, wrote on Telegram on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The bodies were returned to Kiev <em>\u201cin line with the Istanbul agreements,\u201d<\/em> he added.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War confirmed that it had received the remains of 1,000 servicemen.<\/p>\n<p>The swap follows a summit on Friday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Anchorage, Alaska, and the US president\u2019s meetings in Washington on Monday with Ukraine\u2019s Vladimir Zelensky and Western European leaders, during which a possible settlement of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev was discussed.<\/p>\n<p>\n        <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/623265-trump-putin-zelensky-ukraine\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n            <span>READ MORE: <\/span>Putin wants Ukraine conflict to end \u2013 Trump<br \/>\n        <\/a>\n    <\/p>\n<p>Moscow offered to repatriate the remains of over 6,000 of Kiev\u2019s troops as a humanitarian gesture during the second round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul in early June. The promised number of bodies was transferred to Ukraine in the following weeks in several stages.
