According to Nilov, the proposal was rejected, but lawmakers are planning to continue working on the initiative.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe will request up-to-date information on regional measures and, during the work on the 2026 budget, we will discuss this issue and submit a revised version of the bill to the government for review,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin established a presidential council focused on family and demographic policy and earlier this year emphasized the importance of supporting traditional family values to counteract the demographic challenges facing the country.
