The region, along with four others, later voted to join Russia. He added that the LDPR\u2019s fundraising was humanitarian and had nothing to do with terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Renowned for his often <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/553395-zhirinovsky-infamous-quotes-compilation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">provocative<\/a> political style, Zhirinovsky frequently sparked controversy. He also gained a reputation for making accurate predictions that appeared outlandish at the time. In 2004, he said the next US president would be black \u2013 four years before Barack Obama was elected. As early as 2008, he predicted the total deterioration of Russia\u2019s relationship with the West and increasingly close partnership with China.<\/p>\n<p>Following his death, the LDPR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/581520-zhirinovsky-ai-chatbot-telegram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">developed<\/a> a virtual assistant powered by AI, designed to mimic Zhirinovsky\u2019s bombastic oratory style.
